Symptom: When I open the NetumScan Pro software, it shows a message that the device is being detected

Q: Why does NetumScan Pro display "device is being detected..."?

 

A:

  1. First, confirm that the document camera is properly connected to the computer.

  2. If the camera is connected, open Device Manager to check if it is recognized.

    • On Windows 7, look for "NETUM Camera" and "USB Camera" under Imaging Devices.
    • On Windows 10/11, look for "NETUM Camera" and "USB Camera" under Cameras in Device Manager.
  3. If Device Manager shows the device, Windows 10/11 users should also check system privacy settings to ensure camera permissions are enabled.

  4. If the computer uses the Windows 10 "Shenzhou Netcom" government version, you may need specific software to enable camera permissions. Download it from the Shenzhou Netcom official site or a third-party site.

  5. If Device Manager shows the device, you can also try uninstalling and reinstalling it.

  6. If you've checked all of the above and the issue persists, please contact customer support.
